Terms of Service

Welcome to King Kleaners. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms apply to all laundry, wash-and-fold, dry cleaning, alterations, and related services provided by King Kleaners.

1. Acceptance of Items

We reserve the right to inspect all items before accepting them for service and may refuse any item that:

  • Is excessively soiled or contaminated with hazardous materials.
  • Contains insects, mold, bodily fluids, or biohazards.
  • Is likely to be damaged during normal cleaning.
  • Cannot be safely or effectively cleaned.

Customers are responsible for informing us of any stains, damage, special care instructions, or delicate fabrics before service begins.

2. Care Labels and Cleaning Methods

Whenever possible, garments will be cleaned according to the manufacturer's care label instructions.

If an item lacks a care label or the label appears inaccurate, King Kleaners will determine the cleaning method using reasonable professional judgment. While every effort will be made to protect your garments, we cannot guarantee successful results in these situations.

3. Dry Cleaning and Laundry Results

Cleaning removes many stains, but not all stains can be completely removed.

We do not guarantee removal of:

  • Set-in stains
  • Bleach damage
  • Color loss
  • Fabric deterioration
  • Dye transfer
  • Shrinkage caused by fabric condition or manufacturing defects
  • Damage resulting from previous cleaning attempts

4. Pre-Existing Damage

King Kleaners is not responsible for damage resulting from normal cleaning when garments have:

  • Weak or worn fabric
  • Hidden tears
  • Loose seams
  • Missing buttons
  • Broken zippers
  • Dry rot
  • Previous alterations
  • Sun damage
  • Chemical damage

Any visible damage observed before cleaning may be noted on your order.

5. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Emptying all pockets before service.
  • Removing cash, jewelry, electronics, pens, lip balm, cosmetics, or other personal items.
  • Informing us of valuable or sentimental items.

King Kleaners is not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets.

6. Wash-and-Fold Service

Laundry received for wash-and-fold service is cleaned with other items from the same customer order using standard detergents and cleaning procedures.

Unless specifically requested:

  • Whites and colors may be sorted according to our standard procedures.
  • Garments will be washed using commercially appropriate temperatures.
  • Items will be machine dried when appropriate.

Customers with allergies, fragrance sensitivities, or special washing instructions must notify us before service.

7. Dry Cleaning Orders

Dry cleaning orders are processed using industry-standard solvents and professional equipment.

Some garments may require wet cleaning or alternative cleaning methods if recommended by the manufacturer or necessary to prevent damage.

8. Alterations and Repairs

While we strive for high-quality workmanship, customers are responsible for trying on altered garments promptly after pickup.

Requests for adjustments should be made within seven (7) days of pickup.

9. Lost or Damaged Items

If King Kleaners determines that an item has been lost or damaged due to our negligence, our liability will be limited to the lesser of:

  • The fair market value of the garment considering age and condition, or
  • Ten (10) times the cleaning charge for that item.

Compensation will not exceed the original purchase value.

Original receipts or reasonable proof of value may be required.

King Kleaners is not responsible for sentimental or emotional value.

10. Unclaimed Garments

Completed orders should be picked up promptly.

Garments remaining unclaimed for more than 90 days after completion may be donated, sold, or otherwise disposed of without further notice, unless otherwise required by law.

11. Payment

Payment is due upon pickup unless other arrangements have been made.

Returned checks, chargebacks, or unpaid balances may be subject to applicable fees and collection efforts.

12. Order Accuracy

Customers are encouraged to inspect their order before leaving the store.

Claims regarding missing items or order discrepancies should be reported within forty-eight (48) hours of pickup.

13. Turnaround Times

Estimated completion times are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed.

Unexpected equipment issues, supply shortages, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect completion times.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, King Kleaners shall not be liable for:

  • Consequential damages
  • Incidental damages
  • Loss of business
  • Loss of use
  • Emotional distress
  • Delays outside our reasonable control

15. Privacy

Customer information is used solely for providing services, processing payments, communicating about orders, and improving customer service.

We do not sell customer personal information to third parties.

16. Changes to These Terms

King Kleaners reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will be available in-store and on our website.
